Promise us many game changing updates to get us excited. Give us a couple of those to keep us coming back. And when they know we will keep playing, they stop bothering with the updates.

Enough rambling, back to your point, I highly doubt they will release this. Maybe when they run out of ideas, they will promise us this in MCSG V3.

(I understand this is a small necro, but it's still relevant or something like that, and not an actual necro.)

That's not a gameplay or quality-of-life feature for the players, though - It's something for only staff members. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think MCSG needed to show that they were implementing GameMasters if players would never get the chance to experience anything like it. It's basically something to promote MCSG using something that never will or did happen?
Eh, that's mcsg pr for ya. Chad promises stuff and he can't fulfill it. While I'd like him to stop doing that, it's what comes with a owner who doesn't regularly play/interact with the community.

Straying a bit from the topic, it bothers me a tad bit that the mcsg sr. staff in general don't play mcsg. I mean, me personally, I'd ban twice as many hackers then most mods just off of the sheer amount of rule breakers I run across. But yeah, that's that. Sorry for going off topic, I tend to do that ;-;

Another thing that isn't necessarily the, uh...best thing to do to your long time players, such as myself, and about 100~ other players is that we have absolutely NO incentive to keep playing mcsg. What does mcsg give us? "Tournaments"? Nah. "Real prizes"? Nah. All the fun is community made, and honestly, that's why I think this community is dying, I know they contradict each other, but still, if you look pass the numbers, you'd realize that this community is doing worse then you think.

Please mcsg, give us oldies a reason to keep playing, how many times have you heard, "MCSG is getting boring, peace". Hmm...I wonder why?

You people are forgetting to see that over half of the stuff promised was actually added though.

Well lets look at what they did.

New maps, well this one is easy since they were eventually going to add new maps, might as well throw it into the update to make the update look legit.

New lobby, same as the previous point.

Randomized chests, this one confuses me because the chests were already randomized before. And they made no real changes to the chests after the update which leads me to believe that this was a promise that was also not incorporated and or ignored.

Deathmatch arenas, took them a while but they did add this so good job on this one.

More servers, this was accomplished but a good amount of the servers are empty for the most part. But still, this was a promise they did keep.

In game sponsors, if it means people sponsoring items then yes it was added.

Now lets look at what they failed to add.

Advanced statistics, a feature most people would love, a thread was made today or yesterday asking about this. Yet it has still not been implemented even though it is one of the easier things on the list to add.

Tournaments with Real Prizes, please do not consider their giveaways tournaments. Another easy promise they could have done that would make people more interested in the game but they failed to do so.

Achievements, I think this has been added in terms of getting points but the promise they originally made was that you would get badges to display on the forums for each achievement. Still waiting on this.

Game Masters, arguable the most interesting thing on the list, the thing that would be the most fun and most overpowered. I am actually glad that they failed to implement this, but at the same time, they shouldn't have promised something that they were not going to add.

I am not mad that some of the features were not added, I am mad that they promise us things and not go through with them. I would understand if they posted some thread stating that some of the features will not be added, but as far as i know, they never notified us on this. Anyways, to me it doesn't matter that they kept half of the promises if it means the broke the other half.

Dude... .-.

Tbh I think mcsgv2 was all glitz and glamor. Ok, we got a few new things, as sarchikani said, we got the stuff that requires almost no time to implement.
Advances statistics are arguably the most time consuming to implement, what ever happened to that? We didn't get it. Don't promise stuff and don't follow through mcsg, one day that'll come back to bite you.

Well, that might be true, but what you prefer to prioritize between if they broke half of the promises or they kept the other half is up to you. Id rather look at the bright side, plus the things that were not added are not necesarily because they just sat and said "nah lets just not add this, too much work" but rather because there is a lot more to making aditions to such a big network, complications come up all the time, and sometimes things have to get postponed or just plain left out.
I do agree though that a bit more info would have been good, but this was so long ago I cant even remember, they might just have informed people but we just dont remember. I recall DM arenas were added and then had to be taken out because of complications and later readded them working better.

It's been over a year ._. I doubt "complications" delayed it that long.

Technically, they did add achievements, but they have no real purpose unfortunately.

Also, they did add advanced statistics. They made the leaderboards global, and added a bunch of other individual stats that weren't there before. We all need to be more like Ikanacanyon7 and be optimistic.

Yeah I know, it was just an example.

Well on the statistics part, from where I see it, "Advanced" is a very ambiguous word, they could have been more specific on that. Thing is since Im not sure what they meant with "advanced" I prefer not to jump into conclussions, but depending on that, I cant deny you could be right. Then again, there is no way to know for sure.

They didn't add advanced statistics .-. And global leaderboards wasnt the most "popular" thing...

It's more advanced though. Advanced can be taken many different ways, and if you think about it, this is advanced. Advanced doesn't have to suit the majority (please tell me I used that phrase right).

Yeah, like I said, "Advanced" is too ambiguous in that context to know for sure what they meant with it. It could just have meant global statistics and nothing more (just an example).
