Uhm it was quiet easy for me to catch up to ifrox and there are a lot of new people on the top 10 right now nothing is impossibru (and im not even playing 3 months now)
Exactly that's why some people need to stop whining about the leader boards resetting.

I, personally, don't want a leaderboard reset. Chad says that our old scores will never be completely gone, and that's awesome, but I worked hard for my questionably decent position on the leaderboards :p

From a purely neutral, analytical point of view, there are a few things to weigh.

First, if the leaderboards are reset, it will give a chance for new players who are extremely good at the game to catch up without having to grind out wins, since, even if you are the best MCSG player ever, unless you play rather often, for a long time, you're not very likely to break 100 or 150 wins. Besides, if you want a reset, you can always head over to CA servers - those are essentially a reset leaderboard.

From a perspective against the reset, it's important to note that even if our old scores will be saved, they will not be the active leaderboards, and those who wish to maintain the glory of 700 wins will be a bit cast off, and only those who were around during these current leaderboards will remember them.

To counter, if the Canadian servers have a completely new leaderboard opportunity, many players, especially the very good ones who have around 150 wins, but can't break through to the top 100, will flock to the CA servers to try and be recognized (I tried this myself). This will result in the only 8 CA servers being overcrowded with MCSG all-stars. One game I was in, there was literally not one person I wasn't familiar with in some way. This is a ridiculous imbalance. Those poor Canadian noobs won't know what hit them :( That's a reason to reset leaderboards, so the small number of CA servers won't be overloaded, and eventually, when the donor/admin/vip ranks show up, the CA servers will become 100% donor servers.

One more argument against the reset, would be that it is simply not necessary. These are leaderboards. They document the all-time best, and it would be counterproductive to reset them. Was Babe Ruth removed from the baseball hall of fame, just because very few stood a chance against matching his talent and taking a top spot from him? No. Those people were told that if they wanted that top spot, they were going to have to work twice as hard, and twice as long.

It really depends on your opinions and values, but there are quite a few things to weigh before making any decision to reset the leaderboards.

Story time:

When Dark was a little noob with 7 wins and saw big people like Brodina (ex #1) on top of the leaderboards he thought he could never catch them.

Now I'm #8 in Australia, growing all the time. It's not hard to climb. If you're getting 5 wins per day and number 1 is getting 1 win per day, you'll catch them easy. Also, people will still play 24/7 to try and secure a #1 spot on the leaderboards. No change as trying to climb them. >.>
hola hola hola

Then I got a job.
AND I still teamed with chu back then, I aint biased for wins.
