It will decrease the number of hackers. There is no doubt about that. For everyone saying, oh, people will just find a new client, some might, but the majority of people will not be able to transition to a new hacked client. Nodus is so widely used because it is well known, and people turn to it immediately. It would take a long while for another client to reach that level of popularity (during which time there would be far fewer hackers), at which point it could be blocked like Nodus will be.

So stop with the negativity. It may not solve everything, but it will improve. A lot.

Guys really getting rid of nodus might not be that good, there are many better hacked clients so if someone is a true hacker they will always hack and find a better client.
That's what G33ke said, isn't it. Yes, it's true that Nodus has a possibility of becoming obsolete, and that there will be better community (hacking community) made clients, but with the Mod API coming out, the server can see who doesn't have a clean jar, Nodus or not.

Well, I said Nodus itself dying would be the cause of that problem. If it was at all possible to block it only on MCSG, that would no longer be much of a factor. Nodus would still work everywhere else and be popular. It would only benefit us.
As for the modding API stopping hackers - we'll see about that. I'm not exactly convinced myself it will stop hacks much at all. Make them harder to perform? Maybe, but stop them? Not at all...New, more advanced clients will come along with a bypass. I can't imagine the system would be perfect at all.

Anyway - where did you hear such a rumor? Honestly, I feel like most rumors start from threads like these, where people forgot the word "rumor" was in the title...

Some guy said it in MCSG lobby, he said it was part of the MCSG V2

The owner/founder of Nodus has uploaded a video about him being to busy IRL to keep updating the client.

Is the insane aimbot hack where it kills you almost instantly a part of nodus? That's the primary hack I see anymore, and often.
