Yarp, as MiCr2 said we use the timezone question to see what region you are, as well as finding your timezone (for mod meetings and such). CA does have less staff, but also less players. And it's probably got more staff than AS. It's all very well wanting more staff on CA but the staff play/moderate on the regions they get the best connection to. A few of our staff do play on both CA and US for example, but in order for more CA staff we need good CA applicants.

I think we all need to realize that a mod's main job isn't really being on servers, it's moderating the forums and working on new maps and thinking of new ideas to keep the servers popular. Honestly, the only job mods have when they go on servers is making sure people don't use caps, and rage. The whole mod on server thing would only work if there were mods on every server 24/7, and that's impossible.

We have heaps of mods and SR mods on the forums, what we need are some in-game. a mods main job is to moderate the servers. >.>

In all seriousness, though: I have heard of the lack of staff in CA, but I also hear of the lack of rule breakers in CA. (At least in comparison to US.) If this is true, I think it kind of kind of balances out. I think we need to focus more on other under-staffed regions, like AU.

I would play in CA, but in comparison to the US, I get a lot of lag, and I don't enjoy playing there nearly as much. A lot of mods that do play there also play in the US, which is why you might see so little of them.

They should make a new moderating rank. 'The Server Police" ! In that way, you'll moderate the servers, and not the forums.

Neither of those things are expected of moderators, at least, not any more than they are expected of the average player.

Well, as soon as I get my in-game rank, I will be hoping onto all servers since I get an equal amount of crap internet to all of the servers. I won't really dedicate myself to one specific server, but I will occasionally hop onto CA.
