I think that people need to take into consideration the appearance and the PvP that is brought forth by the map. For example, Freeze Island is both a lazy build in which you could just copy Breeze and add ice and PvP is kind of discouraged through the ice running. Demon's Breeze on the other may not be the best quality (although it has some very cool features unlike Freeze), the PvP is a lot better because you can't just run the whole game.

Breeze and moonlight lake are both mostly water where people will run to if they're in trouble in a fight. It happens every game, where they just run away into the water, and make you chase them the whole game. It won't end. They're also pretty bad quality.

So true.

A Good Map: Not too big, good for PVP, nice structures, and SECRETS (Not OP secrets like GOD apples and OP potions. But a nice secret which no one will know for a long time, and it takes skill to get to the secret!

Well i see where your going with moonlight i mean if you get a stone sword off spawn its pretty much gg at that point but it is one of my favorite maps but i see where your coming from but breeze come on its a good map if you know how to play it its a great map in my opinion low quality i dont think so but who knows o_O.I understand how easy it is to not get a weapon in breeze since if you miss your route your pretty screwed but thats what makes it hard which i like i prefer a challenge which most maps don't give another example is water battles it seems like most of the people that don't like breeze island hate it because of the water battles but water battles is an essential part of MCSG pvp so just get over it.

When I was working on my map, (which is a project on hold), I had a secret that took like 15 steps to unlock, and required 3 people to do. At the end was a golden sword with Sharpness III and Fire Aspect II. The harder the secret, I feel the better item.

But the point of this post...

The only maps I want removed are the 3 Breezes. Breeze isn't a good map in gameplay, or in design. (But the terraforming is quite sexy.) The only reason people even vote it is because they're used to playing on it a lot, and probably have a chest route on it. I mean seriously, why would you vote Breeze for any other reason?

And the other two maps are just spin-offs. Freeze is irritating, and Demon's hurts my eyes. (There are TONS more reasons to dislike both maps but these are just the main reasons.)

Any other map at this point is fine by me.

So I saw all the new maps and I have to point out the maps that are bad:
-Hell Games: That wasn't even a map. There was just a forest with one building or what
-Fortune Island: The map is kind of nah. There are not a lot of buildings and it's just a jungle biome.
-Wyvern's Wake: It's a cool map with a lot of effort put on it but it's not suitable for MCSG.
-Solar Frost: I have to say that the new version looks so ugly... The old one was the best.
-Lost mine: ... it's just a cave..
-Freeze island: Ice PvP is so bad... and people can run all the time.
Now decent to high quality maps that should stay:
-Breeze island: I think it's one of the best maps out there despite the fact it's small. Only the look of it is amazing.
-Valleyside University: Another very nice map that I think should stay.
-Rugged Lands: One of my favourite maps with awesome gameplay and great terraforming.
-Holiday resort: One of the best maps in my opinion. Really nice buildings and well builded.
-Moonbase 9: Interesting map.
-Fortess pyke: One of my favourite maps with awesome gameplay and great buildings. It should stay.

I agree that Freeze Island and Demon's Breeze should be removed. Freeze Island more so. But in no way at all is Breeze Island ever or should be removed.

I have been on MCSG for abut a year, although I did leave for a few months, and breeze has been around as long as I remember. I don't care what people think about the water battles, they are there, they will stay there, get over it.

Breeze is a great looking map, with great gameplay and great structures. In my opinion, Breeze Island is a terrific map, and is shown to be so by the amount of votes it receives. I agree that some people just vote for it because they have a route, but if people only voted for it because of that, then I do not think that it would be picked as much as it currently is.

I understand that your opinion on this map is not a good one, but please do not ask for the map to be removed. This map has been here for ages, and if the staff thought it was not up to MCSG standards, then it would have been removed long ago. Clearly it is up to standard...

Sorry if this sounds rude or blunt, but I just needed to put it out there ;)

I need to first understand how Moonlight Lake is low quality.
Moonlight lake is a rushed job. To be honest I could recreate a map similar to it in about a day. Maps shouldn't be that easy to build. They should take weeks, evens months to complete. You should be able to see the time and effort that went into the map, you can't see this on moonlight.

THeres no such thing as a gameplay factory almost. As like 90% of all maps have it, the only thing the gameplay factor does, is that it rules out really horribly constructed maps. (like Breeze with all water.)

Like any map we would add to MCSG, could easily be overplayed because gameplay is not hard to achieve as a map maker. See, moonlight lake. Essentially no effort invovled in making it, and yet, people love its gameplay.

The maps that are to be added, needs to be through quality, and not through gameplay, as I explained, not hard to achieve. Quality builds, terraforming and organics around the map is what I think we should judge the maps upon. Not gameplay.

Sorry completely disagree, couldn't give less of a crap what a map looks like (as long as its hot horrible of course) as long as the game play is great.

You're missing my point.

A map that looks amazing, best builds, amazing terraforming etc. But say, is on an island like Breeze, wouldnt be added due to horrible gameplay.

My point was that, basically every map you find on the forums has good gameplay, the kind of maps that doesnt, are skylands, or ocean ones.

I have heard so many theories about why Breeze Island is voted, such as " Chests easy to find", "Noobs like to run away in the water", " A lot of chests", "People are used to it", and " It's an easy map". It couldn't be that players enjoy both the look and gameplay aspects of the map, could it? That would be totally unreasonable, right?
