Bacca was a short hand name for Chewbacca, so technically, the term 'bacca' is a nickname for a Star Wars character.

Meanwhile, the species that Chewbacca belongs to, is the wookie race.

Yes, I am "for real". The common stereotype seems to be that Baccas are immature, though my experiences are different. Most baccas I've met exhibit a great understanding of the English language and are just as mature as the average player.
