This is the only thing I disagree with. You SHOULD ALWAYS use terrain to fight. Using terrain to your advantage can make a huge difference, just make sure you do it correctly otherwise it can backfire.

No, you say to move to flat land, and to not fight on terrain.

If you're on a mountain, and it is possible to see flat land, always PvP down there, it is so much better from where you currently are.

I've been playing Quake Pro for a while now, but I switch to 85 every now and then.

I've always used the strafe without jumping tactic when fighting, even before 1.7. I've found that it really helps me avoid taking hits in general, even when I'm having trouble landing them. I've been called a hacker so many times on multiple servers because apparently the other person "Couldn't hit me".

The sprint button is one of my favorite updates pvp-wise, because it makes it SO much easier to do this.

90 FOV is the best. Slowness II and Speed II don't mess up your FOV.

What I can suggest is to try PotPvP, you'll get used to strafing.
