annoying ass lightning strikes that eventually kill you if you keep moving on a certain area on the map, and annoying ass witches that poison the f*** out of you, making you vulnerable in a ambush. I've played it on the HIVE.
Ok, that isn't true. Just because the Hive has something similar, it does not mean that we are doing the exact same thing. The first major difference is that our map is significantly better built. Granted, that is my own opinion, but I helped build this map and I played on the Hive's map, so I have first-hand experience. Second, we have a custom coded plugin for the map. Again, I know Hive did that too, but you said yourself that it's a pain. The biggest reason our map is better than theirs? We spent huge amounts of time working on it. The Hive's map and plugin seem very rushed with few details. We took close to 4 weeks at minimum to build our map. It may be more than that, but I only knew about it for that long.

No offence to Team Elite but i hope that the Red Forest team led the build, because i don't enjoy team elites maps. Don't get me wrong there nice i just don't personally enjoy them.
TE doesn't build maps for PvP, they build 'em to look nice. Therefore your opinion is correct, which means it is fsct, which means I love you.

I think the 30,000 Hand-built custom trees were, although extremely ambitious, just overboard. I don't think anyone would notice if like 50 different tree variants were built and scattered over the map.

The area where I think the Hive version falls short is the map size. You can't have a satisfying PvE experience on such a small map. Luckily, MCSG's version seems to be much larger in size.

Making the map larger isnt good, it takes away the PVP aspect of the game and makes it a chore to find people. Maps Sg1-3,5 are all examples of this. I think a smaller map would be good. Something around the size of Valley Side or Holiday Resort

Big maps are more fun.
Small maps are for those who just want to win.

We didn't do 30'000 trees there are 669 custom trees, which I personally worked a lot on, yes it is more than is noticeable but it is the small details of a map which can make it shine over others, the only reason not to do all custom trees is laziness but we weren't lazy and did them all.

Ninga to what you said about hearing from staff that Red Forest did more, a) I wouldn't really listen to rumours because most of the time they aren't true and b) both teams spent a lot of time on different aspects of the map, for instance Red Forest did the base cornucopia and the majority of the trees, while TE did the terraforming and detailing on the corn plus the awesome airship by ladyoflove which she put a lot of effort into, it may have taken us longer to do all the custom trees but TE still did a huge chunk of the map
