1.6 update: Golden Apples OP?

I have recently heard about new golden apples in minecraft 1.6! These NORMAL golden apples have Regeneration II for 10 seconds whitch adds up to about 8 hearts regen after the 10 seconds!!!
I think this is not OP but should have a lower spawn rate in tier 2 chests!
What do you guys think?

yes, but they are crafted with ingots, so it balances out

Golden apples will either have to have a decreased spawn rate in tier 2's or only be on tier 3's.

Im a bit sad about this acually I really like having a bunch of golden apples. It really helps in battles/teams/whenever I need hearts

In my opinion, they're way too OP to be in Tier 2 chests. Apples should be more common in tier 2 chests, as well as gold ingots, considering you still need eight ingots to craft a golden apple.
