Barrier Blocks instead of Glass?

I don't like the idea… I dont exactly despise it but I think that would be good for different maps and gametypes

It does stay true to the original Hunger Games format. The barrier is actually invisible (Except for the little electrical patch thing that was revealed in the second book)

With the "it will be hard on map makers" the ways you guys are suggesting by putting the dome in and WorldEditing the glass to make it that block that would be kinda hard give it would also do the same to any other glass on the map adding to that who in the world puts the dome in first that is always one of the last things so you dont damage it when working on the map. the easy way to do it is just world edit in a dome of barrier blocks also the current maps will probably stay with the glass for a bit as that is not really a top priority.

I am pumped to test the barrier blocks in 1.8 maps would get confusing with invisible domes

Barrier blocks would be fun. It would make the map more dangerous and fun. To see the dome, there should be a block.

Barrier blocks would be perfect for maps that are in sort of a valley. You could place them along the top to prevent enderpearlers from getting out.

In the new Snapshot there's a new block called Barrier Block and its a Invisible Block which you can't Break!
Will it be possible to use this block instead of glass in the maps? (I'm thinking of building one :3)
And maybe replace the glass on existing maps into this Barrier Block? (I don't know about this idea xD)

What do you think?

Perhaps, I was thinking that could be used for deathmatches instead of lightning. The only problem with it is that it cannot currently be made in a spherical shape. (Future perhaps?)
