Personally I think, almost every map needs to have a crafting table in the middle.
I am really annoyed by maps which don't have a crafting table in the middle, because you have to look for it, even if you have 3 diamonds.
I said: 'almost every map' because maps like Land of Ares have way too many chests in the middle for a 24 player game. I still like that map, but that's one of the maps in which I like not having a crafting table in the middle, or it would be too easy.

I believe it is a requirement for all maps to have a crafting table. If they don't have one, look around!

I don't get why most PMC maps don't have crafting tables in the middle. But if you mean the actual MCSG maps like on the U.S servers they all have crafting tables at corn. It's just the PMCs.

This isn't true. Rugged Lands doesn't. I do believe there are others too.

Maps like Lands of Ares people only like because there are so many corn chests!

Rugged lands does have a crafting table, it's on top of the cornucopia building.

It may be hard to see, but that little square thing on the top of the cornucopia is a crafting table.

Im not sure but I think that the map requirements say that you have to have a crafting table in the cornucopia of all maps.

just the pmc servers don't have tables so they shouldn't have been accepted :c
