I came to mcsg a few months ago, maybe about 4 i think. Right as MCSG switched to the hub, am I the only one who misses the direct links? I miss the satisfaction of having to rejoin the server manually, and also having new players join. I know that the new hub is way more convenient, but the amount of lag people get, almost always makes me miss a new match starting. Also why not just get rid of the hub in general? It was one of the worst updates that came with MCSG. I know that you may still connect through direct links, but it's not fun when you still get tp'ed back to the hub >.< sorry guys, just my tired little rant on the whole thing.

I have all direct connect ips in server list. But I prefer the MCGamers Hub. And It's not MCSG Hub It's MCGamers Hub.

- Have a nice day! :)

I find hub much more of a social event, which is nice. Also, it's fun to be able to hop around to other game modes fast.

Also, 400th post :D

"The worst update that came with MCSG" is a matter of personal opinion. In one of our most recent polls, 63% of players who participated in the poll voted that between MCSGv2, the hub, and SG Classic, the hub is the best feature addition in 2013. The opinion may be vastly different on the forums, but the forum community and in-game community are two completely separate parts of our community.
At this point, getting rid of the hub would be taking several steps backwards, in terms of the ability to use our servers. The hub also is what makes the 1.6/1.7 dual compatibility possible, so removing the hub would mean no 1.6 compatibility at all. Needless to say, given this information and the fact that the hub has been around for 5-6 months now, the hub is not being removed, and we have no plans to in the near or far future.

I don't understand the hate towards the hub. It has opened up the opportunities for new players to easily join the games. If I hadn't had friends forcing me to join, I probably wouldn't be here right now after I found out how hard it was to join games.

Hm, i see now that its actually better to have a have, as a community. The points you have made, are all very important, as mine are just opinions.
