Just a short question: Is it possible to stop dem bots from spamming the forums with their ads? Maybe you could add a human verification thingy when making a thread? It really gets annoying when theres the whole site spammed with "Watch herpderp vs derpherp livestream now live at youaintgettingavirusdotcom...."

I'm not the only one?
I saw like 6 of those in a row.
I guess there's a lot of bots, because on Trouble in Mineville's site, there were about 20 threads on "brand new kitchens!" you can buy.
I thought it was a joke/was a video, but I never clicked on it and found out it was a spambot.

No human verification, that would be annoying. Possibly just a simple check performed on the content of the thread, not sure if that would be possible, but would be welcomed. Seeing as the threads usually have 9001 links scattered throughout them, it would be possible (for mods) to blacklist these links, so the thread is auto-checked upon creation, and the links are automatically checked, and if they match other advertisment links, the thread will be reported. That way mods don't need to check every thread, only auto-reported ones. Obviously that isn't super efficient, but it keeps threads from being wrongly closed by a bot, but shows mods these threads faster.
IMO, these threads aren't horrible, but they're annoying. Especially when an entire page is filled.

If you see one of these threads, just hit the report button. A mod will get to it and delete it. I agree they are annoying though, and they suck.

I think human verification would be much easier really...

And it's only required when you create an account, so it wouldn't be all that annoying or invasive in the slightest. It would cut down greatly on the level of spam threads, with only a few extra seconds of work to create an account.

I his post he meant human verification whenever you post. But yes, verification when an account is made sounds better.
