Does that sound like something a real mod would say?
And I agree with what was said earlier, give a mod the /nick command
I'm just giving an example. I'll explain it a bit more: you are a new player on mcsg and have never heard of the forums and you join a lobby. When you're in the lobby you say: vote 3! I want to play Moonlight Lake!
A guy approaches you and says: Shut up fabulous person vote 2 or I'll ban you. This will give the new player a negative point of mcsg. Which can eventually result in him leaving.

Yes, I am a deep thinker :p

Anyone could do that already though, and normal players would be none the wiser. However, if there actually was an undercover mod in the server, he could ban the supposed 'mod' for impersonating staff, harassment, and language.

And you cant just spam around everywhere that Mods now have normal colours

Well, that leaves my post busted. I can't see any other reason against this.

I agree with the "undercover mod" idea. Giving mods the perm to do /nick would catch alot of spammers and caps'ers.

Which makes no difference to screenshot someone spamming and then report him.

It would be easier in this case. The person would get kicked, and if reported, the person would get what? Banned?
If so, there is a little fail on when the mods should use the kick/ban situation. If he spams, he should be kicked, not banned. If he gets reported, is he gonna get kicked in the next game he is on? Oh hey, you're that guy who spammed the other day, I'm gonna kick you. Hahahahah xD. No. It just doesn't work like that.

Im not sure, but I think Harassing, Spam and all Caps is bannable.
At least eshancowee banned one person 30 times for harassing.
(you talked about spam but there is often harasssing in lobby aswell)
