Is mentioning other servers on the forums allowed?

I understand that advertising another server is not allowed, but does that also mean that I can't even mention other servers?

Say I was writing a thread about PvP tips, and I wanted to show players how NCP matters. (Just an example, I wouldn't dare posting that at my current state.) If I wanted to explain a quality, could I use another server as an example?

Mentioning another server is fine as long as the entirety of your post is dedicated to something else. I also would not post any IPs, but I would say you can reference it as an example for your post.
