Just got donor, is mod app worth it?

Okay, so i recently just got Diamond donor, and I'm thinking of applying for moderator for EU, but is it worth it? What would happen if I then got demoted from mod, would I obtain my diamonds sponsor rank once again? And P.S I don't have an alt account...

If you get demoted as moderator you'll receive your diamond donor again.
