So, recently I've seen a decrease in hackers which is absolutely great, I don't run into hackers almost at all and it's so good!

But, now that the hackers are gone, there is a new threat to the MCSG community. And that is MCSG Staff. Nowadays, so many false bans are given, for the most stupid reasons, gets good people in the community banned. This is just outrageous as there is so much more to do than banning them. I also feel like the ban disputes are another flaw, moderators go through them just to get them out of the way. I may be wrong, but this is what I feel reading recent threads on MCSG.

Also, too many staff members abusing their powers. Even the 'known' ones who have serverd for a long time! I heard this story from my friend MCGamerzism, where he was playing Community Games, and an unnamed staff member basically kicked him for saying 'gg69' this is so stupid, because staff has said that that is not punishable. I was playing with a lot of staff one day, and the same staff member was with them. I died pretty early getting backstabbed by a Sr. Mod, but that's not the point as it's just a game, but I stayed spectating the game, and when this one staff member died, he wrote 'a' 'o' 'a' all in separate messages. I wrote 'a' 'o' in separate messages just to test it out, and got "kicked for flooding the chat" by the same staff member. Id that's not abuse, please tell me what is?

Also, this thread. http://www.minecraftsurvivalgames.com/threads/the-turbulence-appreciation-thread.126314/ look at the chat of the screenshot. Staff knows very well that people get mad about this, yet they still do it themselves! That is stupid to do, as they are hurting themselves with that. People are already stressed enough because of the teamers and other trashtalkers, we don't need staff to make it any worse!

I know it would be nicer to make a staff appreciation thread, but it's not relevant as this is happening at the same time, but if you are a food moderator, you know it, and there indeed is some out there thank you guys <3

Unfortunately, to back up you're story you'd need screenshots/proof. Without those people won't believe you. If you do have proof though, just send it to a Sr. Staff member.

This thread was not to proof anything or get anyone demoted, I just wanted to point out these facts, and I believe there is several people to proof Gizm's kick, but I don't have any screenshots, I could look for them, but that is not the point, these stories are real, and you can check out the thread link for a screenshot, which wasn't taken by me but still.

Edit: And in order to keep the staff member unnamed, I can't put screenshots

Sure, that screenshot's chat is certainly off-colour for staff members, but it's proof that we're human. I'm also 100% sure that they only said what they said jokingly. This is just one of our less 'professional' moments in the limelight. :p

As for you and your friend being kicked for what in your eyes is an unfair reason, contacting higher ups (admins) would be wise as it is staff misconduct.

Well, first off, I must mention- it's great to see a thread that mentions a decrease in hackers. That's like finding a needle in a haystack nowadays :p

That said, onto the rest of the thread.

But, now that the hackers are gone, there is a new threat to the MCSG community. And that is MCSG Staff. Nowadays, so many false bans are given, for the most stupid reasons, gets good people in the community banned. This is just outrageous as there is so much more to do than banning them. If anyone is ever banned, and feels as though it was unjust, ban disputes can be posted. I'm sure you've been told that one-million times, but it's honestly the only way, or at least the start to to getting your ban pardoned.

If your ban is upheld, you still have other options. You can contact a member of the Sr. Staff via a private conversation on the forums, or through a message on the MCGamer TeamSpeak (ts.mcgamer.net).

The Sr. Staff view all of the evidence for every ban, and throughly think though their decision before replying to ban disputes. Working through them carelessly just to get them out of the way would only result in more to deal with :p

Also, too many staff members abusing their powers. Even the 'known' ones who have serverd for a long time! If you ever run into a Staff member abusing their powers, be sure to take a screenshot, or gather some sort of evidence. This evidence can then be forwarded to a Sr. Staff member via TeamSpeak, or the forums, and the moderator will be handled accordingly :)

There have been, and unfortunately likely always will be moderators who abuse their powers, but don't let them define the whole staff team. A bad experience will without a doubt leave a bad taste in your mouth, but you will encounter many more good experiences with staff members that will hopefully wash that bad taste right out :)

Also, this thread. http://www.minecraftsurvivalgames.com/threads/the-turbulence-appreciation-thread.126314/ look at the chat of the screenshot. Though many people take terms such as these "offensively", I genuinely do not think that what these staff members said was meant to offend another player, but rather in a joking manner.

Those terms are 'touchy', and are always best to be avoided, but I think the entire staff team can take that as a "lesson learned". Terms like that are best avoided by anyone- staff member, or not :)

If you ever encounter an issue with a Sr. Staff member, it can be reported to an Administrative staff member to be dealt with accordingly :)

Hopefully this all made sense- it's nearly 4 AM :p

Since the main questions of this thread have been answered by myself and others; thread locked :)

If anything was left unanswered, or if you're unsure of anything, feel free to contact myself or another staff member- we'd be happy to help! :)
