Technically, they did add achievements, but they have no real purpose unfortunately.

Achievements, I think this has been added in terms of getting points but the promise they originally made was that you would get badges to display on the forums for each achievement. Still waiting on this.

I understand that achievements have been added and they do have a purpose. The purpose being that you gain points for completing these achievements, but then again, points are almost pointless. (No pun intended) What they originally promised was badges that would display you completing the achievements, they even had them made by Finsgraphics if I remember correctly.
