So I've heard a lot of people complaining about the update...but it seriously can't be that bad.
Sure it's a new update that breaks stuff like the MCSG plugin and Minecraft itself but...the new features overweigh the this as they will be most likely fixed.
Maybe MCSG should have waited before updating because of these bugs but I understand why they updated.
The sprinting IS A BUG! Dinnerbone has confirmed this in his twitter and is probably fixing it so it might be fixed in 1.6.2.
The design of the new launcher is obviously not final, Dinnerbone has also confirmed this will change within the next 2 days. Function over form.
Although the new launcher made look ugly for now, the amount of features in it makes it so much better than the old launcher. Previous version of Minecraft, multiple profiles, custom directories, JVM Arguments for adding memory, Mojang server information, better security and one of my favourite: depending on how the mod is made, Minecraft mods no longer require you to edit the jar file.
