He had 30 minutes to do it, however DM goes for 3 minutes which wouldn't give him the opportunity to go and get it.

As of all game states, the maximum time for a game is 35:45

30s - pregame
30m - game
3m - DM
10s - endgame
5s - cleanup

Deathmatch countdown is not counted as a separate game time, it is factored into game.
