Unfortunately, if your computer normally runs with poor FPS on SG5, there is probably no way to make it better. It's just one of those maps. I badly wish I could play it because it's really a good map, but I simply can't, even on the lowest optifine settings.

I'm a noob at computers but I think these are my specs
Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3 Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00 GHz 3.00 GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM Physical Address Extension (I right clicked My Computer to get this) I hope it's correct.

Everyone has this issue. I have a $2K custom built gaming PC with 100mb/sec optic fiber internet connection, and I still lag.
Nothing to worry about.

If that doesn't work, then I don't think you can do anything (pretty much what Captain Dak said ). I usually get 40-60 FPS, but I completely lag out on SG2 and SG5.
What I find helps a lot is to turn off smooth lighting completely. I always have it off, and it makes a huge difference in FPS issues. There are a lot of buildings on that map, which presumably cause a lot of shadows, which presumably takes longer to load.
Other than that, I don't have much for you. But post this on General Support if you haven't already, they work miracles.
