I have a mixed opinion when I think about this topic.

First, I recognize your point that some youtuber's have platinum, and that the perk difference between diamond donor and platinum isn't much, and silent join would improve that. However, for some reason, I just feel that there is something wrong with it. Maybe I am just too selfish with my silent join; I really don't know.

What I'm thinking is that there really isn't a strong need for it. Mods need silent join because if everyone was told a mod joined, then hackers would stop hacking and what not. VIP's get targeted a whole lot, so Silent join is a good perk for them. However, platinum donors may get targeted, but I would assume most do not need silent join. I don't think a perk should be given for the few that would desire it. Sure, adding it wouldn't really hurt anyone, but I just don't feel that it is necessary. Besides, if a platinum can join early and disguise, then the less they will get targeted.

What I think would be the best solution is to just fix the /d command. Sure, it has been upgraded a whole bunch, but I do believe you can still tab people's names if they are disguised. If this is taken out, and there is no way to determine who the disguised person is, I feel less people would be targeted. I'm not even sure that this is possible, but if it is I feel that would improve this situation a lot.
Yes, but it still shows that person joined. Especially for people like Edog, Brandon6895, or even people like GOLD_ninja14, SlavTheRussian etc etc get targeted. Even I get targeted for being in the same clan as them ;-;. Silent join would definitely help donors out a lot.

And donors should get silent join because when a player sees "Platinum/Diamond donor has joined the game." they think : OH let's target him, and make a screenshot to show everyone how good he is at beating donors, while targeting

Honestly I don't like the idea of silent join for any non staff members. I feel like we have become immersed in a land of disguises and no one plays really on their own accounts. I understand this of helpful for YouTubers and hyper-famous people, but everyone is so wrapped up in targeting. I have multiple accounts and I get targeted equally on all of them (not because of my donor of popularity). One has platinum, the others tend to be green beans, with the occasional iron donor. It doesn't have to do with the person, USUALLY, most of the time it's their gear.

The only time targeting becomes a problem is with staff members and YouTubers. People want screenshots of them killing said people. No one really takes too much of notice to regular donors, honestly most people probably don't even read the player list.

I just feel like were immersed in being disguised to prevent "targeting", when all were doing is hiding our true identities ingame.

Oho, please don't say targeting isn't a huge problem for non-YouTubers, because that couldn't be farther from the truth, personally, I get tryharded 8/10 games I play just based off the soul fact of being 3rd in the world.

I accept how you see the things, but I must tell you that I am from Romania, and all the romanians know me, and target me because I play really good.

It's funny because you have several screenshots in your signature where you are killing platinum people..

I guess I forgot to mention specifically highly ranked players. I tried to hint at them with the "highly well-known" statement or whatever I said.

My main point was that I myself am not a big fan of people using disguises on the regular. I guess it's just my perspective because I like to know who I'm up against. For me at least; if I know someone like Sixzo, G33ke, Blamph, Lovelights or any other well-recognized and respected player is in my game I like to know this so I can simply enjoy the challenge. It's also hard to rate how well a player is doing of they're in disguise all the time.

Sadly this is more of a community problem, and a me problem, cause I miss the days when everyone was all in for the fun, friendly, and open competition instead of this closed-off tryhard mode that everyone seems to be in nowadays.
