Texture Packs

I have tried to put in my texture packs in resourcepacks. And I can't seem to get them to work. Can anybody please help? I want to play hungercraft.

You need to put resource packs into the resource packs folder....

Do you have to get completely new texture packs?
Like I can't use my faithful venom one...

Its not hunger games its survival games. Mcsg minecraftsurvivalgames if it was hg it would be mchg.

I put the texture packs in the resource pack folder and It still doesn't show up. And I do what I want.

Well, there's your problem. Texture Packs and Resource packs are not the same. You'll need to find a texture pack converter to turn any texture packs into resource packs.
