The solution to the 'gg' problem

I no longer say gg anymore. People take it the wrong way. Instead I say things like: Good game! or Good fight! Then they do not get as pissed at you for killing them.

Yeah, I started saying "WP". As for "Well Played".

That sounds good, so when someone says gg it translates to Good Game. c:

That sounds kind of absurd, since people will always find a way around it. Just accept that someone thought it was a good game, and if they didnt, well sucks for them.

GF = Goof Fight Implying that you killed the person in a fair close fight, also it is not as overused as GG.

"Girlfriend"
"Grammatical Framework"
and any number of other things. I'm assuming he's referring to the first one.

If one finds themselves getting upset when people use the term, the issue isn't with the term (It means good game, no way that could be negatively interpreted without sarcasm, and you can't just assume someone is being sarcastic through text) the issue is with the way they are looking at it.

Just....see it for what it is. A simple, respectful post game address. It's no different than when you played sports as a kid and high fived the other team after every game.

I think that saying gg (no caps) and you don't hack or didn't team this person, it's appropriate. But it makes no sense unless you just won. It means good game for crying out loud. Say gf meaning good fight. If you say rekt, ten, etc it is ok if they hack or teamed you. If you get quad teamed and scrape them, I know that, I for one, rant about how they're bad and crap. I feel slightly bad after but really they bug me.

GG means good-game idek how it's mean't to be bad.

Say gf instead if people hate it so much (good-fun) but can be taken as girlfriend lol.
