Well, I do not believe I can help you much as I really have never attempted to youtube.

Instead, I will point out things I notice that make me want to watch a video.

  1. Professionalism throughout the YouTuber- What I mean by this is that I enjoy watching a YouTuber who is orderly and his/her videos are well done. This means a clean intro, engaging thumbnails, interesting and clear commentary, and well edited videos. For survival games type videos, the editing is less important, but to have clear commentary recorded on a good microphone and high frame rate improves the quality and makes it a good watch.
  2. Upload Schedule- This goes hand in had with the whole Professionalism thing, but is not quite as important. To know when your favorite YouTuber is going to upload again is good, because your viewers are always ready and prepared to see your next video. Random video uploads keeps people guessing when your next one will be posted and a lot of people dislike that.
  3. Cooperation- This may be a little difficult for a new YouTuber. However, I personally believe in SG style videos, playing with other people boosts the entertainment value and decreases the necessity for a topic. With another person conversation flows better, and is also more enjoyable for the user, especially when the two players 1v1 at the end. All of these make an video more enjoyable. Also, cooperate with your viewers. Take their advice and improve your videos!

Be creative, don't do what everyone does and make Survival Games videos when you just talk about stuff like Huahwi or ThatOneTomahawk do. Try something original that other people don't do, a good example is illuminaHD which comes up with videos that you don't predict what they are and they always make me personally laugh.
