To Thaw a Frozen Community

Teams aren't something we can stop. 2013 was the way we all knew and loved MCG because the community was a reasonable size with so many active members it was easy to stop something bad from starting. Since it grew and with *v2* (I still don't know why it's called that) there's really no hope of returning the community to what it was before.

• People are teaming all the time, and boosting.

People have always teamed all of the time. It's not a big deal. As for boosting, how many people really do that? It's not a very prevalent group. A bad one, but not a major problem.

• People are bypassing the swear filter.

People were swearing when the game first came out too. It's certainly a bad thing, but it's not like it's a new problem tearing us down.

• People are being rude and obnoxious.

Same as the swearing. Always happens anywhere there's many people on the internet. Call people out on it when they do it, but a post on the forums doesn't do anything about it.

• People are hacking.

There have been more recently (at least that's what people say) but again, active forum users probably don't hack. Saying "Hey don't hack" on the forums doesn't do much, what does is suggestions to cut down on them or reporting them.

• Youtubers are quitting.

Youtubers always quit eventually. Bajan, Joey, these newer people, people will move on.

• Clans are DDoSing each other.

That's dumb and people shouldn't put up with it. People in clans need to take a stand against it to stop it as a group.

• People have become obsessed with winning.

It's dumb when people throw fits or get angry at others when they don't win, but there's nothing inherently wrong with trying to win.

• People aren't having a good time.

It's mostly people that are getting bored with the game that seem to not have fun. That happens. But plenty of people do have a good time and you should just try to get along with everyone else to make it that way.

Pretty much my thoughts. I feel like it's really easy to say this kinda stuff, but this doesn't actually accomplish anything and it's a lot harder to actually do something. People that will read this probably won't be the ones that need to hear it.

Firstly, I browse the forums much more often than I actually play mcsg, and the forum community is 99.9% cool.
I know teams are frustrating, but there have always been teams, and I team myself sometimes so I can't complain. And if you see a hacker then report them. Most people in the community are actually nice but some people too busy complaining about the 1% trolls and hackers to realise this.

Yes, I know I suck, but so do about 100,000 others, according to you. Just saying "you're bad" to me even though I've only played for 4 months and only have 40 wins won't help. It's just making the community look even worse.

Of the millions of people who plays/used to play MCSG, I bet 100,000 do suck.

Now, I suggest you stop blaming your losses on teams and start blaming it on PvP skill level; it's the only way you'll thrive to improve.

Oh, I don't blame teams for teaming because this is an SG server, not an FFA one. No. I'm just blaming the people that need to team to win, and that's called boosting. But thank you for the tips, I will keep those in my mind when I'm feeling down.
