V2 and V1

Theres so many mixed feelings about V2 right now, half the people like it and the other half want to murder it. I think if people don't warm up to V2 the 10 last servers should be V1 for the people that prefer it. A lot more people would not quit and I think it would be fun to swap back and forth between the two. Is this a good idea?

No... people need to learn to move on, and wait for the bugs in V2 to be fixed. Making V1 servers would be nice, but would make it harder for them to adjust to V2. If V1 servers were implemented, they certainly wouldn't be permanent, so what's the point?

I agree with soggy. Eventually, it will all be fixed up and, with all the new stuff, should be more fun to play than v1. Once the community gets used to it and the bugs are all fixed and polished, it will all be good. Just be patient, and you will get the fun you came for

I hate to say it, but version 1 was so broken and nitpicked because so many developers poked through it, plus a TON of bad queries/unnecessary queries to other internal servers, code that could've been optimized and used less memory.
The whole purpose of the rewrite of the MCSG plugin was to optimize the community, introduce more servers so that it wouldn't be the "donor games," as Chad and everyone else has mentioned it to the devs, more features, etc.

TL;DR we couldn't work with version 1 anymore. If we were even going to think about adding new features, a complete rewrite was the best (and in some cases, only) way to go about it.
We're working out the bugs with MCSGv2 every day, so hopefully we should be able to start enabling more features in the coming days as we fix bugs.

This is just like with any popular website, like facebook or youtube, it gets hated on when its changed.. but then after a few months everyone has forgotten about it... There are some blatent lag issues atm... but it will be fixed in time! Its still pretty much the same x

I don't think I've ever seen the community so rude and ignorant before, it's absolutely ridiculous that people are hating on MCSGv2 for a few bugs, and that they can't take change.

My God guys, it's like releasing a game. Do you seriously expect it to be absolutely perfect when it gets released? There's obviously going to be some bugs, which may be annoying at times, but they're going to get fixed.

Patience is something people need to have, everything will be fixed in no time. >.>

My god, i hate mcsgv2. Wverytime I play, i recieve more lag than normal. Also, when i get hit my a person and i try to run, it teleports me back.
