Voting System

Hello MCGamer Community, I am Dodgy8gers and here to talk about a topic that annoys me a lot. Yes the Voting system!
This has only started to occur when MCSG added the new voting system where it's now down to chance than the map that gets the most votes. This bugs me as I seem to play Holiday Resort every time its up for voting! Now this may be me very unlucky but the past few days I have begun to wonder. Even when it may only have 1% it still wins! Now this happens with a few other maps but Holiday Resort to me stands out. I'm not sure if it's a bug or what but I blame it on one thing and that is, The New Voting System! Now I have made this thread to see others opinion and also to see if we can get it back to the good old days!
Please give me your opinion and help me out!
This is whats best for MCSG and as a player that has played since the start I want to do whats best for this brilliant server.

Uh, wrong link.

And I don't always play Holiday Resort when it's there, but you can always just leave and join a new lobby. Anyway, with the old voting system, all we'll play is Holiday Resort, Valleyside, and SG4 most of the time, so that won't really fix your problem.

Yeah but I think we play Holiday Resort in every lobby, and yes you can leave and I do so but I could be waiting up to 10-20 mins wanting just to play a game

Overplayed maps are less of a problem with Raffle Voting. Removing the system won't increase voting variety.

I disagree, I have played so many of the 'over played' maps and never have the chance to play the maps I love such as Remnant, but look thanks for your opinion!

I'm rather surprised, pretty much everyone on either side of the debate on the front page thread thinks that overplayed maps are less overplayed with Raffle, but some people want the old system because they want more control to be able to play these maps. How do you think maps will be less overplayed with straight most-votes-wins voting?

My question was how are overplayed maps going to be less overplayed when they will automatically win if they get more votes (which they very commonly do)?
