Alright, I got quite a few preferences when it comes to what I like to witness when in relations to YouTube video's but will list my most basic/simplistic protocol when it comes to a subject such as this.
Commentary for myself is always preferred by voice as I am able to hear the recorder's thoughts whilst he/she play's the game and gives me a sense of excitement as I can relate to the user's feelings and selected actions within the game. Humor in commentary is always vital for it draws my attention and takes away the boredom which usually amounts when the game is becoming daunting or whether I have become tired of the reoccurring content of the user's channel. Continuing on, I prefer a deeper voice as it usually shows professionalism in my eyes and gives me the reassurance to know who I am watching is older and will most likely be more committed to his channel compared to someone younger who would not have as much experience in terms of the essentials to creating a successful channel. As for face cam I find it distracting when trying to concentrate on the content and it usually draws my attention away from the content when watching the video. Skill level and tips/tricks do not matter to me as it is the individual's unique traits I am looking at not what he/she's capabilities are when it comes to their skill level within a video game. Music is pleasant to have in the background however, I tend to have an annoyance when the music is completely drowning the You Tuber's voice so for this specific question I would answer yes in some cases but to a specific degree.
Anyway, those are my general preferences when it comes to what I personally like to notice within a YouTuber. It would be nice to here more comments as I like the tone of this thread. I wish the creator of this thread good luck or anyone in general if they are trying to persue YouTube seriously and hope my tips assist you abundantly as well as all the other opinion's.
