What does everyone hate SG5 so much?

With mobs turend on it would be a great map, as sg3 was...

Like many I lag like nobody's business every single time I play SG5. It makes me sad because I actually really like it a lot more than some other maps... I have even won on it, but with the lag it is so rare for me to do well. So I never vote for it.

To be honest I expect that the map would suck because: I love SG4 and want something which is as good as it and i thought that thereonly will be games which take ages because oversize of the bridge.
but it turned out: games never get to second refill and it looks cool and if fun.
But i dont like the snowlag... bugging bavck to where you have been some secnd before and if youjump and snow that you stop runnig :/

The thing is, we purposely made it so the snow is hard to run through. It adds realism. If you were trying to sprint through ankle/knee high snow, you'd be having problems. Really, Survival games and Hunger games are made to be as real as possible, and I think this adds another layer of realism to the game.

This, not to mention the wide-open spaces make stealth that much more important. You can be seen much easier and from much farther away than in other maps.

People always say sg5 is big so the games will take for ever and that's why they never vote it. That is the exact opposite of what it is. Like what you said, it is open and white which makes it almost too easy to find people.
