There is a distinct difference between hating and voicing your opinion.

Voicing your opinion is great! It gives the community a great idea of what some of the better things are and also what things could be improved upon.

However, many take this a step further and bring it to the level of hate. Whether it is against leaving threads, maps, or MCSG in general, there has been a lot of hate coming from many different people.

Why?
How can you possibly hate something if it doesn't affect you?

I understand you may not like certain maps or people posting leaving threads and might think that they are unnecessary, but when people start to use words such as "hate" or "despise", it just brings opinions to a whole different level.

Don't like a map on MCSG? Guess what? You aren't forced to play it!!!! Don't ask for it to be removed if it has no effect on you whatsoever! It's understandable that it can get annoying to leave servers over and over again if you don't like the maps, but it's something that you can survive. In fact, I doubt it even hurts you at all. People take time to make maps and saying you want it to be removed is like a shot to the knee.

Don't like all the leaving threads on the forums and think that they are unnecessary? Guess what? You don't have to read them in the first place!!!! Even if you think it's clutter, if it is in the right section it is ok. Does what people create to show their gratitude towards the community and also to inform about them leaving affect you? No! People have the right to create these things. That's what the forums are for!

Suggesting change to a feature is great. I completely support that! "How can we make this better, how can this improve?" I am all for that.

But wanting something to be completely removed or stopped just because you don't like it? For Pete's sake,

It doesn't affect you!

This just blows my mind.

How so?

And does that affect you? No! Exactly what I am trying to state. Classic example of hate, even if you don't want to admit it.

He didn't say it was a bad thing... I wouldn't call that hate.

Anyways, +1 nice thread.

But sometimes map removal threads are necessary. A map with op items or op routes should be removed as they give a player UNFAIR GAMEPLAY which does affect them. Quite a lot actually.

And on the subject of threads. I actually do agree to an extent. All people should be able to create a post where they say bye to their friends. I just never understood why they are made public. Imo I would never want some random-man coming on my thread with forced politeness.

I agree with your first point. Removal threads like that are fine. Opinions are being voiced. However, to go for removal right away as opposed to agreeing to take the items out is a bit unfair.

Then why has the op items in the maps we have now not been removed xD. Instead we're just removing them.

I am going to voice my opinion on what you said, it might have some mistakes, so If you could reply back with answers it would be great c;

"Voicing your opinion is great! It gives the community a great idea of what some of the better things are and also what things could be improved upon."

Sure it does, and I agree with what you said in this sentence.

"However, many take this a step further and bring it to the level of hate. Whether it is against leaving threads, maps, or MCSG in general, there has been a lot of hate coming from many different people."

I understand that people have hate towards these stuff, but they have the freedom to voice the hateful opinions, and sometimes, it does a better job then just saying it in more of a calm words.

"Why?

First off, I completely disagree with what you said in the first sentence, because anything that MCSG does can affect us, if it is by adding a new map that has a lot of unfair items, which would cause quite a bit of trouble for us and the staff team( we all know why Wyverns Wake was removed).

The next paragraph is also a bit wrong, I can understand you when it comes to leaving threads, but when it comes to maps that you hate, voicing it with a good argument on why you hate it usually works better than just saying that you didn't like it, here is an example: http://prntscr.com/2tce3i

"Don't like a map on MCSG? Guess what? You aren't forced to play it!!!! Don't ask for it to be removed if it has no effect on you whatsoever! It's understandable that it can get annoying to leave servers over and over again if you don't like the maps, but it's something that you can survive. In fact, I doubt it even hurts you at all. People take time to make maps and saying you want it to be removed is like a shot to the knee."

Well, I guess I could agree with you there.

"Don't like all the leaving threads on the forums and think that they are unnecessary? Guess what? You don't have to read them in the first place!!!! Even if you think it's clutter, if it is in the right section it is ok. Does what people create to show their gratitude towards the community and also to inform about them leaving affect you? No! Leaving threads can be pointless and annoying, because most of the time they are short and it would rather be better if it will be just a new status update. But if they thread is also going to include a big enough story of your life in MCSG, that's understandable. Also, I am a 100% sure that some people posted a thread about them leaving MCSG just to get attention and to be talked.

"Suggesting change to a feature is great. I completely support that! "How can we make this better, how can this improve?" I am all for that.

If someone doesn't like a map or a certain type of thread in MCSG, he is probably not the only person to do so.
Wanting something to be completely removed or stopped is pretty much the same as wanting a map to stay , I mean there are always threads or people wanting a map to get removed, and when it is removed people regret it and want it to get back again. Does it mean it affects them?... :3

In conclusion, people should have the freedom to voice the opinions they have, hateful or not, as long as it brings up good points it is worth to do so.

[This wasn't a great of an post I had there, and I know there are some mistakes and might have went a bit off the actual point, so please tell me where is the problem. but at the end, I am 50/50 with your thread]
