So i have been playing on the MCSG servers for about 5 months now. It all started back in November last year when i decided to quit playing CoD on Xbox. I was looking around for a new game to play and it just happened that a good school friend of mine had recently discovered MCSG. He introduced me to the servers around early November last year when MC was on the verge of the big 1.7.2 update that would change everything. I had little knowledge of anything to do with PvP or MC in general but met quite a few people along the way that helped me to improve and eventually become a decent PvP'er.
When I first started playing, i was absolutely horrific (as most beginners are xD). MCSG was my first MC multiplayer server which made it even harder to get used to. I mean, when i first started my friends literally had to tell me how to do everything, opening chests, equipping armour, crafting etc. I continued to play because i found the servers enjoyable, even though i lost nearly every game. As i kept on playing, i started to win more and more frequently. I got my 50th win, which was thrilling at the time as i was such a noob, then my 100th win came and i thought it couldn't get any better. This is the point when i started to meet players that were a lot better than me. I discovered the forums and leaderboards and started to realise that there were sooooo many more amazing players. I then decided to try and find some tips on how to improve and that is when i found ItsToxicFinest and Huahwi on Youtube. Without these two I wouldn't be where I am right now, I learnt a lot of my PvP skills from them and then developed my own strategies and tactics.
When the long school holidays came around, I was on around 160 wins. I played quite a lot over the holidays and got to around 600 wins by the end. By this stage I was considered to be an above average player but I was still not satisfied, I kept on playing a lot after the holidays ended to reach my goal of 1000 wins. Now 5 weeks into the first term of school I have finally reached it. Many thanks go to all the people that helped me to get to where I am now because without you all I would just be another randy that no-one knows. Once again thanks everyone for the support <3
There are a lot more people that i could mention but I feel these are the ones that had the most influence on my time so far on MCSG. I still haven't forgotten the rest of you though <3
