In light of recent events in the past two games of Staff versus Community on SG120, I decided to start up a discussion thread, allowing you guys (and gals) to voice your thoughts and opinions.
Obviously a huge issue that came with the chaos was "team betrayal." Albeit the majority of community players were not talking to each other by any other means than in-game chat, some decided it was in their best interest to team up and murder other community members. This caused an outbreak in the spectator chat, demanding certain players (who will remain nameless) to be removed from the game.
Survival Games is about surviving, yes? And the point of this community game was for the members of the Staff to take on the Community. So, although it was not stated in the official thread, players of the community assumed that everyone was on the same side, that is, until the staff team was eliminated. None of the community members were actually on the same team per se, most of us just assumed (notice the amount of assumption going on here) that no one would be a jerk and start killing players left and right. That was our downfall, which lead to many people missing out on the fun. The community did end up winning, though, only because the staff had a rough beginning.
The second game rolls around and now every player is just going along by themselves, seldom are teams found. This is not how (I'm guessing) the creators of the Community Games imagined it to be. Now everyone's off fending for themselves while the Staff team picks off every little solo player. This is why we lost. The lack of trust.
I really can't think of much else to write right now as my head is pounding due to my severe allergies, so I'll let you guys take it from here. What'd you guys think?
Please do not flame, try to atleast be somewhat civilized.
TL;DR Jerks ruined the assumed community team and many players had their fun ruined. Then staff won.
