What's happening to Optigine capes in 1.7.8

Yes, Optifine capes will be active. Dinnerbone announced it, he has no control of Optifine capes. The capes are strictly to the mod Optifine, and not to Minecraft itself. So as long as you have Optifine installed, you're fine.
