So about half an hour ago, I reported a guy that was OBVIOUSLY hacking. a few mins later the mod responded saying "This user has been deal with." almost 20 mins later now he is not banned. What is this?

Edit: Sorry I guess this shouldn't be here but it pissed me off...

I am sure if they responded with the user has been dealt with then the user has been taken care of appropriately. If you have any further question contact a mod.

Nothing has happened to them at all.

You'd probably be best off asking a staff member.
What he said.

One of two things could've happened:
The moderator banned him but he was still in-game. Once he left the server, he wouldn't have been able to get back on or he wasn't hacking and the moderator said the user was dealt with appropriately - which is the required response for all report abuses, even if they didn't ban them (from my understanding).

When we say the user has been dealt with we mean we have taken the appropriate action based on the evidance and rule which they have broken. This does not mean they are banned. We can only punish a user if the evidance is sufficient/ they broke a rule.

To add, the staff will only let you know if you are reporting a player for an offense that is not against the rules, but other than that they prefer to remain ambiguous when taking action on a report.

If you had some sort of edit, eg; slowed down or sped up. Then the evidence isn't sufficient enough. If you have any further questions, you should contact a member of the staff team.

We are not allowed to release ban info about other players. This includes whether or not they are banned! :p

What Sean said is 100% correct. Unfortunately, we get hundreds of reports everyday that we aren't able to deal with because the offenses are not bannable. We still say that the user has been dealt with appropriately, whether or not it is enough evidence!

Edit: posted this 10 mins before the lock, my internet was being stupid. xP
