i dont get why this "can't resolve hostname", what caused and more important, is there any other way of connecting, since the "guide" wont help me, im getting really desperate, i was almost on 2nd place, but now i cant join and everyone on the top has like 100-500 more wins...

All I can say is, everyone who I've helped doing it, has succeeded with it, You might be doing it wrong. I've helped around 5 people online to fix this issue, and 2 IRL. Worked for all.

I always use direct connect for mcsg servers and that works fine

Maybe something with your java like if your using 32 bit instead of 64 bit or if your using 64 bit when you must use 32 bit

Have you tried switching off your router and waited between 10-30secs before switching it on? Sometimes these errors are caused by the router, I've never get this problem because I switch off my router before I go to bed. Just give it a try.
