Beacons?

Just a short question: Do Beacons work or are they disabled? If they work, SOMEONE PLEASE PUT SOME IN A MAP! Seriously, adding Beacons somewhere (corn?) in the maps would be amazing!

I believe beacons are a no-no because they give some players lag that would provide an unfair disadvantage.

I've heard this rumor, but I've really seen no evidence of this being the case. When building the rebels lobby, I had a rather laggy member of the clan come on and test the lag with and without a beacon. There was no effect.

Pretty sure the beacon lag is overhyped and inaccurate.

I average about 15 fps when I play. About 2 on Survival Games 5. I've never lagged around a beacon. Ever.
