Who started this "clan" things.

so annoying to go into a match with a 5-6 player clan teaming up. I just saw one for the first time in 4 years the other day and got crushed. Whats the point of MCSG if your teaming with THAT many people. Your skill is obviously not that good sweety.

"Really?" is what I thought after I read this. Clans normally give a roster in chat and sometimes ask people to leave. If you see a bunch of donors, then you might want to join a different game. Go look in the "Clans and Teams" section and you'll see how many there are and how long they've been around.

1. Clans are a really fun way to play with friends and play competitive.
2. If you are in a game that has a clan battle or scrim going on. Thats a easy win.
-Just avoid the clans, their main target is to kill the other clan so they win.
-Once a team had won they will leave the game to go to a different server.
-All their full iron and good loots are on the floor (mostly near spawn).
-You pick that up and you win the game.

Okay, first of all, clans are allowed in the community. Secondly, if you notice a clan is in the game, you should always leave. I do. Well, yeah. You can't really take out a clan team.

Without clans, this community would be nowhere near where it is today, if it would even be here. Whether you like it or not, they will always be here. It may be frustrating to get killed by a massive team of clan members, but you're in luck! The Solo SG servers will be coming out this summer and teaming will only be allowed to take someone down that is better gear than you; afterwards, you may not team or truce with the person you used to take someone down, as stated by Col_StaR:

Now, back on topic. The clan community, while at times can cause issues and flame, is a major component to our player base. I'm not sure on the exact statistics on this, but I can assure you that clan participants probably take up almost half of the community, so don't expect them to be going anywhere anytime soon.

The first team labelled under the Disbanded Clans section is, "Team Take the Top". You can find their thread here, which dates from May 12th, 2012: http://www.mcgamer.net/threads/team-take-the-top.2682/
So you can technically blame them for starting this "clan" thing.

That being said, Clans have been around since forever. Just like all games, they're more fun when you do it with friends. Players naturally banded together to play together, and after a while people just labelled themselves as Clans. The rest is history.

By my estimations, active clan members make up approximately 10% of our population base. However, I estimate they take up about 25% of our player activity. That being said, clan battles skirmishes only account for 1% of games or less.

If you came up against a large team, you're either unlucky enough to wander into a battle, a practice, or a bunch of friends who may not even officially be a clan.

And don't forget if it weren't for clans roughly 85% of the v1 players would've quit by now.

The clan scene knits together our clan community and is one of the best places to make friends. Without clans, I wouldn't have half the friends I do now.

Yes, it may be annoying to run into a few large teams every once in a while however things like this occur so rarely and it's pretty easy to identify a clan matter and leave the server.

As for the teaming "issue" we have listened to those who dislike being teamed on and are implementing Solo Survival Games servers and leaderboards on a recent announcement made by the administration.

Clans will not simply "be removed". They knit together our community.
