Hello! My name is Hailey and I'm gonna show you how to figure out if a player is hacking and all the types of hacks. I know I'm not the only one who hates hackers and wishes they would leave, so here are some ways you can catch them!
Well, lets start with the easiest hackers to point out.
- Fly Hacks Fly hacks are SUPER easy to point out! If you don't know what Fly Hacks are, then basically, the players that use Fly Hacks are able to fly in areas they wouldn't be able to fly in, for example, there is a player in Survival Games that is flyin' around, which isn't supposed to happen. That is what I like to call a Fly Hacker.
- Speed Hacks Speed hacks are also very easy to point out. Speed Hack is a hacking client that enables you to sprint faster than the average player. They are somewhat easy to point out. They aren't always faster than everyone, but sometimes they look like they're teleporting from place to place.
Now, for the not so easy to point out hackers!
- Forcefield Hacks Okay, so this a little harder to point out. Forcefield hacks give a player the ability to hit players faster, they can hit players while looking in a completely different direction, and they can move their head around way too fast.
In this video, there is a hacker that has Forcefield Hacks (Also known as Kill Aura) as you can see, its a little hard to tell that the player is hacking, but the player sure is a hacker. (Also, in the video there is a little bit of speed hacking).
- Aimbot Aimbot is a type of hack that can either be easy or hard to point out. When a hacker uses Aimbot, the hacker is very good at using the bow. They can get you with almost every hit. The only difference is, they can shoot way faster.
The player that is recording is using speed hacks in this video. As you can see, the player is able to shoot arrows way faster than the average player. The reason that this hack is a little harder to point out, is because the player with Aimbot doesn't always use it s they can shoot faster, but so that they can get every hit. So you may not be able to tell.
- Re-gen Hacks There really is no way to point out re-gen hacks. Re-gen hacks allow the player to gain their hearts while fighting another player. They often fall back so they can re-gen, they do not need to eat, they'll re-gen anyways, and they are pretty hard to kill.
This hacker obviously has re-gen hacks. One way you can figure out if the player is hacking, is pressing the 'tab' button on your keyboard and looking at the players hearts.
What to do When You Have Caught the Hacker
(Lets start with the Do's and Dont's)
DO
- Record the game with the hacker and upload it to youtube.
- Also you can make a thread and upload it to the forums.
- Do /report in the game.
-File a Report Abuse, find them here! And the template can be found here!
- Be patient!
Don't
- Bug Moderators or any other staff on the MCGamer Servers or the forums.
- Spam in the chat saying thing like 'HE HAX HES A HAXOR!' This will get you nowhere
- Don't be rude to the hacker, don't even approach them, you may get yourself in trouble as well for harassment.
- If a Mod or any other staff members don't do anything about it yet, do not get mad, be patient, my young grasshopper. Eventually something will happen to the hacker and someone will definitely ban them!
- If you see the hacker again on the server after telling the staff that the player is hacking, do not worry, as when a player hacks on the servers, they are banned for 7 days until they are able to return. If you see the player continue to hack, file a second Report Abuse about said player. Once again, if you see the player again, this is because we give them two warnings. Warning 1, you get banned for 7 days. Warning 2, you get banned for another 7 days. If the player continues to hack, they will be banned permanently.
Recording Tips and Tricks
- Do not get too close to the hacker when spectating. (/spec) We need to be able to clearly see the hacker.
- Do not use Quake Pro (FOV). Quake Pro can make any player look like they're hacking. Be careful and be sure by using a lower FOV.
- Here are some free recording softwares that you can use (Totally safe!)
-Try to upload the video in 720- 1080p. (A minimum if 480p)
-Dont type in the chat while recording so that we can see.
-Avoid F1 mode, please.

- If you're like me and you own and Apple computer, us Quick Time! Its built into the computer so you don't need to worry about downloading anything.
- As for windows, you can use EzVid, I used this then I had a Windows laptop, and it worked just fine.
