Yep. That's why I said it's an old way. It only worked when people used crap like Nodus. That doesn't work. Most clients check whether an entity is visible or not before attacking.
Our Minecraft servers are offline but we will keep this forum online for any community communication. Site permissions for posting could change at a later date but will remain online.

That video is also the one with the Jeff the Killer screamer a minite in, so let's not use that as an example.Basically what you said.
Spawning an entity is a really old way to catch hackers, esp. with people using stuff like Satisfying's client

edit: Call out the people that ghost client like Satisfying did with Ethelyne.
I don't think anyone's going to disagree when there are suggestions that our system can be more efficient. But the thing is that we implemented the system that we knew would at least be partially effective, because partially effective is better than what we had before: nothing at all.3.How to fix it
Well first off you need to take a completely different approach.... In order to solve this problem I highly recommend you set up some type of api (probably the wrong word here) which will let you see cps in certain locations near the player. Then you can set up a measure of where the hits are registering and work from there.
I know a pretty much 100% fool proof way to keep cheaters off the server. It's the method kohi uses. Pm me and I will articulate it to you.I don't think anyone's going to disagree when there are suggestions that our system can be more efficient. I'll bring your proposed methods to the Devs. Hopefully that will be a viable solution, but remember: things always work well in theory, but not always in the real-world. And until some philanthropic anti-cheat genius helps share his knowledge of cheat detection, we'll have to keep experimenting until we get something that works.
No no wrong vid fam. The screamer is in the 1v1 with suspending. That video is also the one with the Jeff the Killer screamer a minite in, so let's not use that as an example.
As pertaining to the topic, none of the features of XAC are unheard of before. While the new features may be accurate and effective, we need to step up our game with custom features to catch the underground world of cheting, which grows at a steady rate.
