Will 1.9 Ruin SG?

What about it sucks? I personally like how the mechanic works, it can be pretty helpful.

You say the game is getting boring, when you say boring do you think part of it is because people rodspam? Think of rods in 1.9. All people will do is put their rod in their left hand and RODSPAM WHILE SWINGING! It would be a mess. And what if they did it with FnS? The spam would be unbelieveable, and people would abuse it until the map burned down.

No, the dual wielding allows you to quickly hotkey between two items using "F", not use two items at once.

Yes, the plan is that Mojang are going to remove block hitting with swords, but are adding in shields, which would add a new dynamic to PVP. Imagine having a shield, and able to block and targeting attacks from spawn!

I can't wait for 1.9, it looks amazing!! And they probably won't add poison-tipped arrows into MCSG (thank God). Look, they still haven't added mutton. 1.9 items won't be added anytime soon.

Dinnerbone has stated many times that if the item in your right hand does not have a right click action, it will act as a right click on the left hand. Besides, even if it was for quick hotkeying, that's what the numbers are for lol

Well then, personally I dont see how that would impact PVP in a negative way...you could definitely use it for your own advantage!

The people at MCGamer aren't stupid, if the update is something that would make the server less playable or enjoyable it wouldnt be done. If 1.9 is the combat update it shouldn't be too bad... But the stuff I've seen of it it may be to complex for SG and could change the game too much.

Don't worry about it, If they go to 1.9 they will probably go back just like when MCGamer went to 1.8 and then made it so you could have both.

SG and PvP in general are just getting too bland and boring. Not to be cocky, but I'm just too good at this game for it to be enjoyable. I'm actually really looking forward to the changes in 1.9, as they will force me to adapt and improve, which fosters enjoyment.

I don't know MCSG's thoughts about 1.9 updates, but I honestly think if they did update to 1.9, around half of the community would be gone. Hopefully the staff listens to the rest of us this time.

Half the community wouldn't be gone. People always say that, and it never happens, if it happens, it will happen, you will have to adapt to 1.9 and get over it.
