So as we all know Solo SG was recently release, and as good as it seems, there were issues I had with it.

1. The first issue is that the games are only 12 people. Some people may like this change, but personally(I've also talked a number of people who agree) I think this takes away from the intensity of the game, as the number of people going for chest routes and looking for kills is dropped making it easier to win the game.

2. The next is that your stats don't carry over from or to normal SG. I assume the thought was that since its technically a different gamemode that the stats should be separated, but this is one of the reasons I don't play on the solo servers. I can also assume that is part of the reason why many don't, they don't want to lose their stats.

3. Finally, its kind of difficult to join the servers. In the compass game menu, everyone is used to just automatically clicking the bow, they know its SG so they just click it, this means they probably won't look to the other choices to find the solo servers, assuming it is linked to normal SG. As for the signs, they are kind of hidden it took me a while to find them. Another thing is that I didn't really hear about the Solo SG release until I found a video on youtube, it could of been pushed more. This is probably also affecting the amount of play on the solo servers. IDK maybe I'm just dumb.

All in all its a good start but it was kind of a failure IMO. I think that there are 2 ways to fix this.

1. Make the original lobby solo and then make a separate teams lobby. Though this probably won't work since the reason most team is to get wins, and an all team game won't help.

2. Or make the solo severs 24 person games and have the stats interlinked between it and the original servers. I think this is the best fix, that way the people who want to play a fair, fun game can without losing out on their stats or the experience.

This is just my two cents, interpret it as you please.

Half the people don't even kill until they are full iron with diamond sword and 4 gaps from their routes

They are working on something to have only a certain percentage of the chests having spawned randomly. This would eliminate OP routes.

I haven't player it yet, but I asume soloSG is easier to win then normaal SG and I don't believe the stats should be linked as both SG's require different tactics.

It was advertised a lot on the forums, not sure about in-game.

Thank you for your input, and I can tell already that some of your concerns are being looked into further.

1. We will be releasing a poll soon in which you can vote for either keeping the 12 man option, or making it a 24 man player game like regular SG. This will most likely be an in-game poll, if not a forums poll as well. But keep an eye out for that!

2. This was intended. They are technically two different game modes and therefore we created two different leaderboards. This will stay as it is and we won't be touching any of that anymore. Before releasing SoloSG when it was still an idea, it was clearly shown that the majority vote was to have separate leaderboards. So that's what we implemented.

3. We did post an announcement about Solo SG which can be found on the Home page and at the top of the News page: http://www.mcgamer.net/threads/solo-sg.209173/. In addition, we featured the gamemode in one of Chad's recent livestreams. So the publicity is definitely there, people just need to have a look around. Once they have found the Solo SG option in the compass menu, I'm sure they won't forget about it anymore and regarding the signs being hidden, that may be subject to change in the future, whenever a new hub is released.

I can definitely tell you by looking at the statistics and overall feedback that Solo SG is not a failure, but has been a great success so far. Maybe not everyone was present at its release, so give those people some time to get familiar with the new game and base their own opinions.

Regarding your solutions;

1. I don't see how making a new lobby will affect anything..? When players enter a game on SoloSG, everyone is automatically disguises, making it difficult to randomly team with anyone. Other players who are teaming through Skype or TS for example, can be reported and will be dealt with by a member of staff. But I don't see how making a new lobby or changing the current one will prevent teaming in any way

2. As said above, we will be releasing a poll soon and based on those results, we might change some of the features of Solo SG. The leaderboards will remain however. People are not losing any of their stats since they are separated. If you play a game on Solo SG, it will not affect your regular SG statistics and vice versa.

I do appreciate your fast reply and your insight. I definitely understand not merging the leaderboards and I look forward to the poll to change the game size. :)

What would you expect? They are 2 different game-modes
It wouldn't be normal to have both of the stats combined...

People get less chests and fight more in normal sg
That's because there are more people.

My problem is that it takes a long time to get to deathmatch, especially when I'm expecting a 3 person deathmatch. I know they did it so it wouldn't be a 2v1 dm, but it becomes a more interesting ffa if people play it properly. Since there are no teams, nobody has a teammate to tell them where the rest of the people are so when there are 3 people left, they could easily be spread all across the map. S0lo sg seems like it's supposed to be a quicker, more competitive version, but the 2 games I've played have lasted longer than a regular game. Long games are not something players this day in age enjoy.
