What Should be considered Mod Abuse? My Opinions.

So I saw a thread earlier that was posted in the wrong area that had someone trying to report a mod for abusing their powers. So I decided to make this thread to state my opinions on what should (imho) be considered mod abuse or not.

• Kicking a player for petty insults.
If a mod is kicking a player for merely calling him 'noob' or 'runner' or other such things I personally find that stupid. These are allowed words and they are usually used because the other person is constantly running or randomly teaming just to defeat someone because they are not good enough. In my opinion, disrespecting a mod would be ignoring their warnings, calling out mods as being stupid or saying that a mod or mods are dumb. I've seen cases of mods kicking other players just for calling them a 'noob' because they ran (not naming any names, though.)

• Banning/Kicking a Player without warning.
If a player is spamming, or using a minor form of hack that they may not know is banned, (BSM and Rei's Minimap are allowed on most servers so they may not know that they are not allowed) they deserve a warning to remove mod / stop spamming.
I also consider that people disrespecting staff also deserve getting at least one warning.

• Using Powers for an Advantage
Okay, so I am not calling out the fact that mods have the same priority as donor, I feel they deserve at least that for all the work that they do for us! I mean using commands such as /kick, /slay, /fly, /give, /msg, /checkplayers (tells what players are on what server, which is a command normal players cannot use and could be used to follow YouTubers.) etc.

• Being Partial
This means not banning/kicking/demoting or unbanning a player who deserved their punishment just because they are friends.

I'm pretty sure this is how it already works, along with a few other stipulations; however, your second fact is incorrect. Block glitching and bypassing the language filter are instant kicks. We are supposed to warn for spamming, and all the mods I've seen do give warnings before kicking. As for the hacking, we have a zero tolerance for hacking or using mods that affect gameplay. Even if they claim to only be using them for the purpose of catching hackers, or whatnot, we cannot know that for sure.

Moderators only have access to two of those commands, kick and records, which shows the last server a player was on.

Make sure to be mature, include detail, and don't say things like "This is stupid", "You have no proof", or "this was for no reason" because none of those things can possibly be true given our punishment system.
