A while ago, I made an MCSG story. At that time I was a nub on the forums and still somewhat a noob at MCSG in general. I've improved greatly at forumming and MCSG, so here's a better version of my MCSG story.
October: In October, I bought Minecraft after seeing my friends play it pretty frequently. For about a day, I played faction servers, but I sucked at building (still do) so I decided what I really liked about Minecraft was the PvP aspect of it. My friend Sudnofsky showed me the Project Ares servers and I really enjoyed them, but I wanted something else... I had seen CaptainSparklez, Seananners, AntVenom and more play the Survival Games. It seemed really cool, so I Googled "Minecraft Survival Games" and clicked on the first result. It showed me a list of servers and I picked a random one: US26 and played my first game. I was a total noob, but I managed to come in 2nd with absolutely nothing. After a few more unsuccessful games, I gave up and went back to Project Ares.
November: I got a bit bored of Project Ares and decided to give MCSG another try. I was a total noob. I would form teams of 6, I would call hacks on whoever killed me. (c'mon we were all like that at one point
) I played on all the servers, US, EU, and AU. I don't know if he remembers this, but Reven86 and I actually used to chat team when we were both noobs, and before he got REALLLLY good. Now if I see people I used to team with in-game in a lobby, I completely ignore them, as I'm done with chat teaming now, unless its with someone who I have on Skype, but one of us can't call for whatever reason. Despite my major teaming, I still couldn't get a win.
December: I continued to team like a noob, and be unable to get any wins. I introduced my friends to MCSG and we Skype teamed. We still had little success and changed our SG4 route like 20 times. FInally, mid December, I got my first win with my friends. I was so excited, and after that I strayed away from chat teaming anymore. It was quickly discovered that I was the best PvPer among my friends (5 of us) and I began to win more and more when we were top 2 in the game. I began going solo more and more, after a while I picked up my first solo win, but a majority of my wins still came from teaming with friends. At the end of December, I had about 25 wins. Then, I logged onto these beautiful forums for the first time. It was a whole new perspective of MCSG
January: In early January I began to improve, A LOT. I was actually winning about 2 solo games per day. I still got about 1/3 of my wins with teaming, but as I climbed the leaderboard, my friends forced me to give them more and more of an advantage when we fought leading to more wins for them. Towards the end of January I reached 70 wins, and applied for my first clan, The Elite Squad with our leader- TorchScar . I was having a great time, and became more active on the forums. Via the EliteSquad, I met more people like Kameronl109 Uncrowdedflyer5 iJUDG3R and more.
February: I continued to go solo and pick up more and more wins, I got to about 125 by the end of the month. I had fun with the Elite Squad and my IRL friends who I continued to play with. At the end of the month, Torch stepped down as leader and it looked as if I would be looking for a new clan. Mooclan stepped up as a new leader and I agreed to stay in the ES. After many of our members left with Torch, I was promoted to clan mod. I became good friends with Mooclan and met more people like MJM239 and piranga . We used Moo's server to practice our PvP and had many good times, even with my typos and overuse of signs (inside jokes).
