One Year Ago- A MCSG rememberence

In about 13 minutes, I would've played MCSG for a year exactly.
It's sort of sad, that I spent a year on these forums and haven't got active member yet! I've was the 300th or so person to join the forums.

MCSG was so exciting. There servers were only a few days old, and there was only us1-3. Chad was often seen, as well as the Dev's like Clank (BlameClank2012). SG1 was a favorite. No voting system, we had to play it anyway.

I had no idea what I was getting into when I joined us1.mcsg.in
Had no freaking clue what to do. I ran around for a bit and got eaten by someone's dogs.
It was fun :3


That element of having fun whilst playing has disappeared from the MCSG servers. It has turned into a big, bloody bloodbath every match. No-body interacts nicely with each other anymore and it is sad. Really sad

So thanks MCSG, for all the fun times before you turned a bit sour.

Ahhhh yes, the good ol' days. Where there was only one (or two can't exactly remember) map to choose from, no 'server list', no voting, no community maps, and when Chad did regular livestreams. Where there was no Breeze Island, or Moonlight Lake, or Fortress Pyke, or SG Ancient Japan (I think you know where I'm going with this).

The pure days. Though I never won any games back then, it was still fun. It was definitely a lot harder to, obviously, when there was no such thing as tiered chests (the ones at the corn were obviously the best). Where having leather armor and a stone sword was considered amazing (for me). It's a year that we'll never get back.

I think to celebrate the one year anniversary of such amazing servers, Chad should remove all server choices except SG1, and transfer back to the old, nostalgic lobby, and the old one hour games, and the old DM, with the old message 'President Snow doesn't like when tributes run away' or something along those lines. Just so the new members get the sense of how great the games were back then.

I really made it seem like it was a decade ago, but it was only a year ago.

I didn't join the games on the 29th, the guy I quoted joined the forums that day. I joined the games a bit before that I think.
