Hai~
So you want to apply for Moderator? Great! But there are a few things you need to consider~
Applying for Moderator should be a well-informed,well thought out decision. It's incredibly easy to make a rash decision in this situation, saying things like: "How hard can it be?". I can assure you it's hard. It is a serious commitment and responsibility you will take on as a Moderator, and everything that comes along with the job needs to be understood before you apply. Jumping straight into a situation like this, assuming you'll be, that the job can't possibly be that hard, isnot a good idea at all.
You need full understanding of the job, and the 100% knowledge you are in fact, ready for the job.
Please read through this thread and consider everything. Do not just think about it for a second, really take some time to think about it. It'll help you in the long run, I promise.
-------
~Are you 100% committed?
Commitment is key. Really think about the current commitments you have; Extra curricular activities, leading an MCSG clan, keeping up a YouTube channel, 'arting', any commitments that would interfere with Moderating.
Now, with that said, don't think you can't do anything as a Moderator, Moderator's are allowed a life, this was simply to open your eyes. If you're falling behind in school and really need to catch up on school work, becoming an MCSG mod is probably not something you'd want to do.
As I said before, you're obviously allowed a life, but piling the responsibilities of Moderating onto any other responsibilities can be incredibly stressful, and you'll eventually fall behind in those activities.
~Do you have the right motives?
This is incredibly important. Before you apply, you need a motive check.
Do you genuinely want to help the community and MCSG in general through your powers as a Moderator? Or do you want Moderator for the rank, the surge of popularity, and/or the power?
This is really something to think about.
Who do you think will preform better as a Moderator, someone who applied, and was accepted with the mindset of helping MCSG, or someone with the mindset of gaining popularity and receiving a special rank?
The answer is, in case you didn't figure it out, the player who is there to help, rather than gain popularity.
~Are you ready overall for such a large responsibility?
Moderating is a huge responsibility. You'll need to dedicate time and energy to keeping MCSG a safe, fun environment for everyone. It might sound easy, watching hacker videos, locking threads, and so on, but there's so much more to it than that, with the addition of things to deal with behind the scenes.
Take the time to evaluate yourself. Can you handle this responsibility given to you?

To sum everything up:
Being a staff member is a difficult, tasking job that requires the utmost responsibility, devotion, and dedication.
Applying is not, and should not be a decision made in half-an-hour. It needs to be an educated, well-thought decision, to assure you're ready, and willing to take on the job.
It is truly not as easy as it is perceived. Although I'm not a staff member, I've spoken to staff members, and it is definetly a tasking job.
With all that said, there are obvious perks to becoming a staff member, it isn't all hard work, but it is important to look past the novelties when applying and think more about the task at hand:
Moderating the servers, and moderating them well.
