You are not allowed to use MCSG to advertise your youtube channel. If MCSG had a channel, it would be run by the staff, not the members. Thread locked and link removed.
Edit: Since there has been so many misunderstandings of why this is not allowed, I'll elaborate by pasting something I discussed with some moderators in a skype chat.
The difference between this and gameplay videos, is that game play videos advertise us. MCSGBC is advertising themselves through us. In situations where people play our servers and upload the video, people can see how our servers are like from how the servers are. With MCSGBC, they see how the person making the video wants to show. It's like the actual news. For example, the news was reporting on how the suspects of the Boston bombing was this guy and that guy. In reality, it was neither. The FBI had to clear it up and make their own official statement. The news that they provide could be misleading and wrongful if they ever decide on choosing to go against MCSG. Their news can be their own feelings towards situations that have not been know thoroughly. The reasons I closed it was because 1, it was indeed advertising. Not like how game play videos benefit us, as well as we benefit them since they can have viewers who like their commentary, but in the way where a news company becomes popular through things like celebrity drama and personal life. 2, the perspective of MCSG and and the amount of players we get/lose due to the channel is dependent on the people running the channel and their opinions. If they do end up becoming big, then we have to rely more on them on what is said through them. They can end up demanding anything they want from us in exchange for a better reputation. If we deny it then they can make us look bad for not doing what they want. They are different from minecraft mondays in the way that minecraft mondays have approval and support from minecraft. MCSGBC never got approval or support from chad so they are not allowed to do it. 3, they are not legally allowed to have this. MCSG is trademarked by chad. Again if they want to do this, they need chad's consent. Honestly, I like the idea. I liked it when MCSG first started up and someone did the exact same thing(For those of you that remember an ex-staff had done this before and it was removed by chad). I closed it because it was not allowed and letting my opinions take part in it is bias and not what I'm suppose to do.
Doing something like this requires a lot of trust. Pretty much for something like this to be approved, it would probably have to be chad doing it or a community manager.
