I've seen plenty of guides about how to play and join SG for noobs etc. etc. But no one ever says how excactly it works. So, here's a quick rundown.
====================
1. The Beginning
====================
When the countdown hits zero, your free to move off your plate. At the center, The Cornucopia, or Corn, Called by most MCSG players for short, usually contains eight Tier two chests, These contain armors, food, weapons, etc. It's best to run for these, however, if you do not get there fast enough, the pile of goodies will be gone! Then your left with 23 other people seeking out to kill you, and others. It's best if you can get out of there quickly. If someone unfortunately kills you in the bloodbath, then try again.
You can also try an alternative, Run away from the Corn completely and pray you get something out there.
====================
2. The Games
====================
Around the map hidden chests can be found. Hopefully if your lucky you'll stumble across a few. The rest of the games is self explanatory. Survive and kill.
====================
3. The Nightly Refill
====================
Every night the sponsors refill all of the chests. This usually determines who is going to win the games. You have two options. You can run for the eight tier twos in the middle of the arena and hope you get all of them to yourself, or at least scavenge a few. HOWEVER, Be aware there is almost always fatalities at the nightly refill, and sometimes it's better to stick to your route of chests you previously visited and gear up there. If you DO manage to survive the bloodbath that sparks at this refill, then you will be awarded with eight tier 2 chests, which is probably enough for you to win alone.
Also, the tributes that has passed away/fallen are announced, although this makes no sense since they are already announced when the cannon goes off.
====================
4. The Deathmatch
====================
When 3 tributes remain, in sixty seconds everyone will be teleported to the center of the arena on your pedestals. Another 10 second counter will count down and when it hits zero your free to step off again. This time, you can not leave the area, or the gamemakers will summon lightning to kill you. As time passes the area your allowed to move around in gets smaller and smaller. This helps force the tributes to kill one another. If no one kills eachother, it's declared a draw and the tribute with the most kills wins the games.
