In nearly every game I played today I saw at least one hacker. During that day I didn't see any mods, I think that if you going to be a mod you need to be able to keep watch on the servers. Especially the AU moderators. That is why I think that mod applications should be less strict.

Unfortunately, there are not that many au moderators. The Sr. Staff are working extremely hard to hire more mods and all we can do is be patient.

We aim for quality not quantity. If we hired everyone who applied, it wouldn't end well. If you see a hacker, you can always record them and send it in, or even let a staff member know of a hacker in your game. If everyone did that, then a hacker would never get away. Kinda simple really...

The way Hyper talks about it seems Australia has 0 quality, but at the same time MCSG can't just hire a bunch of random mods.

Australia is between a rock and a hard place.

What's the point of just accepting applications that aren't good just because they're "needed" ?
They would sooner or later abuse, break rukes themselves, and probably forget that they are a moderator. Just record hackers if you can.

Can't argue with krackan's post, you also need to consider that moderators have lifes. Younger moderators are able to dedicate more time however the older ones have work, coursework, revision the list is endless. However, one thing is clear these responsibilities and important things that have to be done always have to supersede the game.
