Honestly, VIP should be given for hard work. If you spent hours on an MCSG map then you deserve it.

A map is a map, quality generally comes from time spent but if someone can make an amazing map in 24 hours than who cares?

This guy has a point. Red Forest's most recent map was done in about the equivalent of 3 days of work because of the time constraint that the PMC contest put on it.... I think it turned out well with such little time

For people that got v.i.p for making maps, there should be a builder rank

That is the friend rank. Blamph has this rank as well, and is a VIP in-game but it doesn't display it on the forums.

Blamph isn't a friend, he is a VIP, and hes VIP in-game and on the Forums.

I totally agree, there are too many VIP's, I think they should give VIP to the main leader of a map, and not too almost all build team members..

This could be a option, actually a great idea, but now people would make maps just to get builder ranks, and they wouldn't need to donate to join full servers. Basically people would build maps for ranks so they can join full servers.
Now they get VIP, but there's too much VIP's and as I already said they should give VIP to the main builder/leader of the build team.

I'm pretty sure that they are making a new builder rank and they are using VIP as a backup for all the builders of the maps.

They won't make builder ranks.. They need to have an advantage (Builders), so they can kick people, and as I already said they'll make maps, so they don't need to donate and they can join servers!
